Conditionals 0, 1 and 2

 

Згадаймо правило умовних речень.

Згадайте формули побудови Conditional-0 та Conditional-1.

Говорячи про умовні пропозиції, ми пам'ятаємо, що умовні пропозиції нульового та першого типу відображають реальну умову, тобто при цьому щось може змінитися.

Пропозиції другого та третього типу відображають нереальну умову. Тобто ми теоретизуємо, як могло б бути за певних умов, але не було.

У перекладі з англійської на російську обидва ці типи будуть звучати однаково, чи то нереальна умова, що стосується минулого чи сьогодення.

В англійській пропозиції є відчутна різниця в побудові.

ПРИКЛАДИ

First Conditional

1. If it rains, we will stay at home.

2. If I study hard, I will pass the exam.

3. If I train hard, I will become a champion.

4. If I do the research, I will write an article.

5. If I wake up early, I'll go for a jog.

Second Conditional

6. If I went to Europe, I wouldn't come back soon.

7. I would go to Thailand if I took a vacation.

8. If I fell in love, I wouldn't get married.

9. If I were a polyglot, I would know many foreign languages.

10. If she were smarter, she would lead a healthy lifestyle.

11. If he were a good father, he would set the right examples.

12. If you were confident, you would go on a date with her.

13. If I were black, I would play blues.

Third Conditional

14. If you had asked me to train you, I would have helped you become more beautiful.

15. If my business had brought me good dividends, I could have done charity.

16. If I had had my own pool, I could have swum in the morning.

17. If I had come to Paris, I could have climbed the Eiffel Tower

18. If she had loved back, I would have made her happy.
